--

Thanks to a tender, five craft workshops were launched in the organization of the Komlói Kaptár Cultural Center. The sessions presented the fruits of their work to visitors in the Czanik gallery within the framework of a joint exhibition.

Kaptár successfully applied to the National Institute of Culture to launch five vocational courses, as a result of which the training videos and the necessary materials for the course were provided to the applicants for 20 sessions. Szakkör is the online knowledge-sharing interface of the National Institute of Culture. Its purpose is to introduce visitors to certain phases of traditional professional activities with the help of the Internet, thereby collecting, organizing and promoting various forms of social activities.

The exhibition was opened by Andrea Nagy, a staff member of the Institute’s Baranya county office, who presented the history of the development of the Szakkör initiative. The success of the program is proven by the fact that, thanks to the application, there are already 104 vocational courses in 62 settlements in Baranya county.

“I would like to thank the staff of the institution for always hosting artistic experiences like this. For me, this exhibition reminds me of my childhood, when there were many craft circles like this one. At that time, we did not decorate our homes with ready-made products from large stores, but the work of our own hands greeted us from the various rooms. Mayor József Polics recalled.

The competition was coordinated by department head Anikó Schaff, who said that the enthusiastic and cheerful work took place in five sessions of four activity groups. A group leader was appointed at the head of each group, who helped with the correct implementation based on the online tutorial.

At the end of the 20 sessions, the members of the professional circle presented the work of the past months at an exhibition, which they intend to continue in the future. Before viewing the exhibition, the audience could enjoy a piano performance by Máté Kőszegi and Peti Balázs.

The works can be viewed during the institution’s opening hours until May 3.
