In the past 15 years, we have built a work-based economy, and now everyone knows that there is no future without skilled work and skilled workers – said Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Wednesday in Budapest, in his speech at the opening of this year’s Professional Star Festival, based on the MTI report. On behalf of the government, the Prime Minister promised: everyone in Hungary will have a profession, a job, a decent salary, a home and can count on family support.

We, the older ones, know: the future of Hungary is always written by talented young people

said the Prime Minister. He recalled: 15-20 years ago, it was even thought in Hungary that the future would be determined by people with a degree and intellectual occupations. But in the past 15 years, we have built a work-based economy, and now everyone knows that there is no future without skilled work and skilled workers – he emphasized, adding: today the backbone of the Hungarian economy is provided by skilled work, skilled workers, and skilled craftsmen. He added: if the people of the spirit also make the most of themselves and the world of the spirit and professional work are well connected, Hungary will be successful.

Viktor Orbán also touched on: they brought the university world and vocational education closer together, they connected the prestige of the departments with practical knowledge. He emphasized: the last year spent in vocational training can already be counted as a credit during university studies, and those who perform best are “admitted” to higher education institutions. He added that the most modern equipment and tools are given to the students so that they can acquire the most up-to-date knowledge possible.

He guaranteed four things on behalf of the Hungarian government. First of all, everyone will have a profession in Hungary and the gates of the technical school are open to everyone. Secondly, whoever has a profession will also have a job. Today, they have achieved that there are more jobs than skilled workers, he pointed out. Thirdly, he mentioned that those who work will also have a fair salary. As long as the current government leads the country, the work of every Hungarian will be appreciated, he noted.

The fourth is that those who take up a family in addition to their profession will have a home and can count on family support from the government. Because we know that those who start a family have a good chance of a happy life

– said Viktor Orbán, emphasizing: the strong and independent Hungary that we have been fighting for for centuries is made up of happy families.
