At the annual event, the focus was once again on recycling, the importance and possibilities of which were presented both in theory and in practice during the day. Upon arrival, each guest received a handmade necklace, and after everyone had taken their place in the hall and greeted the gathered and the invited guests, the director of the school, Ildikó Hrubá, addressed the audience.
“I am happy that we are hosting this beautiful event for the 16th time and that so many of you came. Not only today, but every day of the year, pay attention to where you littered, how you behaved outside in nature, to take care of the gardens, plant trees and warn your friends if they behave inappropriately”
– the director began his speech, while actively involving the interested children with his questions. Following him, Erika Sinová, head of the department of the Csallóközi Folk Culture Center, took to the microphone, who thanked the close cooperation with the institution, and then said how important it is to draw attention to environmental pollution from an early age, because this way we can protect the Earth, our nature and, with it, our future. Finally, László Polák, the mayor of Ekecs village, recalled the first events and wished the participants good fun.
