After the registration on Tuesday, the Local Election Commission continued its work in this regard on Thursday morning. This time, the registration requests of three people were recorded at the meeting.
The Local Election Committee of the County City of Székesfehérvár met again. The election campaign started on Saturday, and in the time that has passed since then, the committee has met once, on Tuesday, to register the candidates, then three requested to be registered as mayoral candidates and twenty-seven as representative candidates.
“In the first period of the announcement, nomination recommendation forms are constantly arriving here, which are processed by the electoral office and for those candidates who submit these forms and applications for registration, the committee must make a decision within three days and three candidates today registered” – said István Pallos, chairman of the Local Election Committee.
This time, the Local Election Committee recorded the registration request of the two candidates of Mi Hazánk Mozgalom and the candidate of Fehérvárért Közön Egyesület. István Pallos also talked about how to become a candidate.
“The voters must have their recommendation in an appropriate number. In the case of Székesfehérvár in the individual electoral districts, because it also depends on the population of the settlements based on the law, one percent of the voters of the individual electoral districts must have their recommendation and in this case they can request to be registered, either as an independent candidate or as a candidate of a nominating organization.”
The President of the Local Election Committee added that whoever requests to be registered must have the right to vote, that is, he must be included in the voters’ list of the given constituency and he must have a suitable number of recommendations.
