Early on Wednesday afternoon, the evaluation of the bids received for the public procurement procedure related to the Danube Bridge in Mohács was made public.

According to the vg.hu report, the tender was issued by the Ministry of Construction and Transport (ÉKM), and the open EU procedure started at the beginning of September 2023. The final bid deadline was November 23, 2023.

The project includes not only the bridge, but also the road network connected to it, which means the construction of the road network between the second-order highway number 51 and the M6 ​​motorway.

Three offers were received for the project: from Duna Aszfalt Út és Mélyépító Zrt., Strabag Építő Kft. and Swietelsky Magyarország Kft., the latter in a consortium.

Of these, Duna Aszfalt won the cheapest offer, the company group undertakes the execution of the tasks for a net price of HUF 294.96 billion.

Strabag made a net offer of HUF 309.96 billion, and Swietelsky made a net offer of HUF 316.028 billion.

According to previous information, 50 months will be available from the signing of the contract for the construction of the bridge, so the handover can take place in the summer of 2028.

The new Danube bridge is ready: it will surely serve for a hundred years

The bed closure on the new Danube bridge has been completed, the connection between the banks of Paks and Kalocsa has been established, and the final static frame has been created, which will serve as a crossing over the river for at least 100 years after the handover.
