Aunt Erzsike Juhász Istvánné was greeted on her 105th birthday at the Csanyi út nursing home on Thursday, April 25. Mayor József Csányi, deputy mayor László Balla and dr. Izabella Ónodi is the president of the Cultural and Social Committee, local government representative.

Mayor József Csányi highlighted the role of the Juhász family in the history of our city in his festive speech. As she put it, aunt Erzsike has been present in the life of the 250-year-old Kiskunfélegyháza for 105 years, which makes one’s heart feel warm when thinking about it. In the continuation, he talked about his personal connection through the celebrated person and his own grandmother, when they had a good neighborly relationship in Gábor Áron utca. He drew attention to the importance of the family, the presence of children and grandchildren, and among them the honorary citizen of Kiskunfélegyháza, Aunt Erzsike’s son, to István Juhászwho is the permanent teacher of Ferenc Móra High School.

“Dear Aunt Erzsike!” On behalf of the municipality and myself, I wish you a very happy birthday, and I am very confident that we will meet here many more times – said the mayor, and then presented the birthday boy with a bouquet of flowers and a copy of the jubilee city picture book.

In her greeting, Dr. Ónodi Izabella said that she wanted to make the celebrant happy with a gift for real women, to whom she presented a necklace made of white pearls, Monika Samu folk jewelry maker’s work. Aunt Erzsike was obviously very pleased with the attention that the representative gave to her.

Her son thanked her for organizing the festive event and then told some stories about her mother. Among other things, he mentioned that as long as he can remember, he remembers that Aunt Erzsike always sang. From one word, a note immediately came to mind, which he never failed to sing. Among the stories, we also got to know the history of the lottery prize, in which the celebrated person made a profit of more than HUF six thousand. Of this, he kept 127 HUF for himself, and gave the rest of the money to his neighbor who raised his two children alone. The lovely stories were appreciated by those present with a big round of applause.

In the continuation of the event, further speeches and greetings were given, and the students of Lajos Batthyány Primary School prepared a musical program. Elvira Molnar under his leadership. After the program numbers, the song Happy Birthday was played, and then the festive cake arrived, which was eaten with joy for Aunt Erzsike’s health.
