University of Miskolc | PLC Programming competition – the East Side Programmers team won first place

For the first time in the history of the competition, the teams played abroad between April 16 and 18 in Palic, Serbia. 25 teams took part in the competition, the members were full-time BSc and MSc students.

On the first day of the competition, the participants were given a series of theoretical tasks, then on the second they had to deal with a technological implementation, they had to implement the PLC control of a complex loading task with a robot arm. On the third day, the task was PLC control of a simulated technology. In the simulation, the control of AGVs had to be created, which were responsible for sorting, checking and loading stools arranged in a matrix.

In the competition, the team of East Side Programmers of the University of Miskolc achieved 1st place.

The team members: Zoltán Berta István, Ákos Majoros, Gábor Bálint Tóth. The team members won a PLC, shopping vouchers, a programming course and a cash prize.

The Mevill University team took 7th place in the overall competition, and also won the special prize in the Siemens PLC category. The team won a PLC and a servo drive.
