It is temporarily closed the Ram-gap area a due to a rock fall a few days ago.

In addition to the closure, Pilisi Parkerdő Zrt. will carry out a geological and static investigation on the Rám ravine, Roadster reports.

Due to the natural features of the volcanic valley, which runs roughly north-south, it is one of the most difficult marked tourist routes in Hungary. Rockfalls and rockfalls can also occur in the area, so everyone can visit the Rámsádek – as the Pilisi Park Forest has already indicated – at their own risk.

The human load due to the constantly increasing number of visitors, the long drought periods due to climate change and the alternation of rains with extremely large amounts of precipitation also negatively affect the stability of the stone walls of the Rám ravine. That is why, following the rock fall that did not cause personal injury a few days ago, the experts of the Pilisi Park Forest decided to temporarily close the site in its entirety for the safety of the visitors until full-scale geological and static tests are carried out and evaluated, the newspaper reports.

“We would like to draw the attention of hikers and forest visitors to not ignore the closure under any circumstances for their own safety and to prevent accidents and not to enter the area of the Rám ravine until further notice!”

– can be read in the announcement of Pilisi Parkerdő.

Parkerdő will determine when the Rám ravine will be open to visitors again, as well as what its further tourism future will be, in an action plan based on an expert investigation.

The yellow lane marking in the Lukács ditch can be used as a bypass route for the Rám ravine.
