Cezekas’s 60th anniversary concert at the Grand Theatre

In the forecourt of the theater, the spectators were greeted by a giant poster of the event. The communication visual element was created by the students of Fazekas’ fine arts department.

The instrumental, folk dance, modern dance, theater and fine arts departments of the school were represented at the event held on this special occasion. All the students of the educational institution took part in the program, we found out Soosné Nikolett Prókai, from the deputy director of Fazekas Utcai Primary School. In addition to current and former students, teachers, parents and Zoltán Bárány clarinetist, director of the Béla Bartók High School of Music and Dance in Miskolc, Eva Vojda singer, Andrea Varga actor, Water Victor singer, a Fezekas Parents Bandand the Miskolc Symphony Orchestra member also participated in the large-scale event. Conducted György Selmeczi Kossuth and Erkel prize-winning composer and conductor.

The special feature of the two-act gala program was the multi-movement Celebratory Children’s Music (Millennium Ode) performed at the end of the first act, composed by György Selmeczi for large orchestra, children’s chorus and children’s voice. The work was performed by three choirs of Fazekas, a Mini choirthe Children’s Choirthe children’s arm, and the String band performed by the drama department of the school. In addition to the jubilee gala program, the institution organized numerous concerts, performances and exhibitions on the occasion of the school’s 60th birthday. A special production was also prepared for the anniversary Experience the miracle – Fazekas 60 with title. The video clip was made by Viktória Kascsák, in addition to the students, together with performers and teachers. The work was a great success on social media.

The Fazekas Utcai Elementary School in Miskolc was founded in 1963 by the merger of three important and long-standing schools in Miskolc. At that time, it provided general primary education for 1,200 children. Currently, 88 teachers work and 580 students study in the institution that operates 24 classes. Since 2006, children have been introduced to four areas within the framework of primary art education: music, dance, theater and painting. The teachers of the school consider it very important to establish a trusting, mutually helpful and supportive relationship with the parents.
