THE An airline to the Transport Authority a He submitted an application to operate a passenger flight on the Budapest-Mumbai route.

The announcement of the office under the Ministry of Construction and Transport provides information about the existing bilateral air transport agreement between Hungary and India,
a request for an unused air transport right was received for the route between Budapest and Mumbai, for passenger transport operations.

Within a 30-day statute of limitations from the publication of the information dated April 24, i.e. until May 23, another airline may submit a request to use the same aviation right.

The authority’s announcement does not contain further details about the planned flight, including which company submitted the request.

The procedure is one of the first preparatory steps for the opening of flights for routes and countries where this is regulated by a bilateral air transport agreement, but it does not necessarily mean that the respective flights will start soon.

As we wrote earlier, in our previous interview, Kam Jandu, the general manager of Budapest Airport, also indicated that they are working on relations with India, the establishment of which is also justified by economic and tourism trends. As is known, Wizz Air is also flirting with opening Indian routes, which it would serve with the A321XLR planes arriving next year.

We also wrote earlier that Budapest is also included in the flight development plans of the Indian airline Indi Go, the forerunner of which is offering tickets to the Hungarian capital with a transfer in Istanbul in a code-sharing agreement with Turkish Airlines.
