In accordance with tradition, elementary and high school students in the area could register for this one-day conference in topics related to biology. As reported by the school, the competitors, their preparatory teachers and the family members accompanying the children were greeted by Zoltán Kratzmajer, the director of the high school. Two 7th graders of the high school, Laura Gréta Horváth and Gerda Maja Juhász, sang a cheerful spring song to the guests. At the event, István Trencséni represented the Trencsén family, one of the main supporters of the event and the founder of the high school’s Biologist Award. The implementation of the program was also supported by the Széchenyi School Development Foundation.

A total of seventy-three students from nine schools entered this year’s competition, so due to the large number of participants, the meeting took place at five locations at the same time. The junior biologists gave high-quality presentations on several topics. The most popular topic for elementary school students was ethology (animal behavior), while for high school students it was human organization and health science.
