True to tradition, one of the outstanding events of spring, the Spring Flower Festival, will be held again this year, where visitors are welcomed with an ornamental plant and craft fair, as well as cultural programs, on Saturday, April 27.
The special atmosphere of the Spring Flower Festival no longer needs to be presented to the public in Kiskunfélegyháza. Nowadays, the event has become not only a celebration of spring, but also of the cultural life of our city, where local associations and cultural groups can present themselves.
The event begins at 8:00 a.m. with the opening of the market line, which will stretch from the promenade in front of Hattyúház to Béke-tér in a bigger place than ever before. At the fair, those interested can meet vendors from the local and surrounding settlements, while immersing themselves in the cavalcade of various ornamental plants and handicraft products. In addition to the fairgrounds, visitors can also meet numerous established institutions and cultural circles. The Petőfi Sándor City Library welcomes those interested with a book fair and Móra corner, the Kiskun Museum and the Móra Ferenc Közmülwendesi Egyesület with interactive games, the Holló László Képzőművész Kör and the Wesel Hugó Fotokör with outdoor exhibitions and creative workshops.
The event will be opened at 10 a.m. by Mayor Andrea Csányiné Pap. Afterwards, various cultural programs provide relaxation and fun for those present. In front of the Petőfi statue, the Kiskunfélegyházi Youth Brass Band, the Kiskunfélegyházi Mazorett Egyesület will present their program, the Félegyházi Folk Choir will perform a musical program, and then the morning will end with a spectacular show by the Silver Step Dance Studio.
