On Saturday, the Southern Transdanubia Motorcycle Association will once again organize the season-opening Motorcycling and Family Day, which has become a tradition. This time, the venue of the event is Széchenyi Square in Pécs, where bikers and interested parties are welcome from 10 am.

The season-opening ride was created with no less purpose than to draw the attention of road users at the beginning of the motorcycle season every year to the fact that motorcyclists have arrived on the roads with the arrival of good weather.

The main driving force behind the implementation of our program is to reduce the number of accidents involving motorcyclists. Since there are many accidents involving not only motorcyclists, but also other vehicles participating in traffic, this form of accident prevention does not only affect motorcyclists. The attention of motorists must be drawn to extra caution, they point out.

The main highlight of the event is the parade starting at 2 p.m., during which more than a thousand motorbikes will pass through the city, drawing attention to bikers. As stated in the association’s statement, a we believe that if we “stop” the traffic even for a few moments, the other drivers will be aware of the message that motorcyclists are back on the roads.
