We learned about this year’s investments that they won HUF 10 million in a LEADER tender, to which the municipality will add five percent of its own resources and two granite urn walls will be created in the cemetery.
There are a lot of old sidewalks in the village, in several parts they have already been taken up, either by the owner of the house who did some work in front of his house, or because of the sewerage, and in many places the sidewalk design is not continuous. To repair these, they buy a concrete breaker and grinder, whose function will be to grind the pavement and concrete they pick up and use the crushed material as a base, which they will install in the given area with their own machines and workers.
– Since we have our own paving stone production plant, we know exactly how much paving stone we need to produce, and of course we also make the curbs and channel drains that need to be installed. After informing the population, we will pick up the old, poor-quality pavement, grind it and rebuild it together with the paving stones we have produced, said the mayor.
They want to develop the infrastructure
– I don’t think you need to wait for a miracle, you simply need to start the work with good organization. We have the machines for it. We have a very well consciously developed machine park – emphasized Csaba Balla.
The mayor also highlighted that public lighting will also be improved in Madaras in the coming weeks. The existing 360 public lighting lamps will be supplemented with another 155 lamps, the control cabinets for which have already arrived.
The current lighting is not suitable for traffic safety or public safety.
Actually, only the lighting of Fő utca is acceptable at the moment. LED public lighting is created, which can be controlled. They put a light on every second electric pole, which greatly improves public safety. In terms of consumption, they can achieve significant savings with adjustable lamps developed in Hungary. The lights can also control cameras and IT devices.
– This will all serve the interests of the population in the future. Most of the work that is currently going on in the village is our own work, which means that we provide the resources for it. Our work is what makes it a big plus. We renovated outdoor benches in parks and public cemeteries. We also renovated the kindergarten and the community center. Our nursing home will also be in line soon. We also plan to renovate our paving stone production plant, he said.
He also talked about the fact that they have their own nursery, which they planted with tree seedlings, more than two hundred of which will now be planted in the village. – We plant much more than we had to cut down due to the danger of accidents and drying out. We produced lumber from the old felled pine trees with our own machines, and we made the seating surfaces of the benches from the hardwoods, which already needed to be replaced. A parking lot is being prepared in the yard of the office, which we will construct with our own employees, with our own manufactured paving stones, Csaba Balla listed.

The marketplace is also being developed in a similar way
Last year, the self-made fence made of concrete formwork bricks was completed, for which they also build a decorative fence from the boards of these sawn trees. A hall is being built in the industrial park, for which 423 million forints have been allocated, the investment will be implemented jointly with the Bács-Kiskun County Development Agency. At the moment, the public procurement is in progress, it is expected that the successful public procurement will be concluded within a few months and construction can begin.
An 880-square-meter industrial hall was planned with the preparation of a five-ton bridge crane, which will be suitable for any type of machine production or locksmith shop.
– It is necessary to create such an industry in the village because there is no industry outside of agriculture, and this is a very big problem. As long as the farmers are able to solve the cultivation of their land with a few people, even seasonally, such a hall would provide more people with a living, explained Csaba Balla.
The mayor also highlighted the expansion of the current social home among the plans. He considers it important because there is currently a long waiting list. Following what was experienced after the coronavirus epidemic, the demand for social housing suddenly increased. What is also important is that this also creates new jobs, and local services can be expanded for more residents.
