Like that we already wrote it the other day: between April 23 and 27, the Miskolc National Theater organizes the Horizont International Contemporary Dance Festival for the seventh time. The Miskolc Ballet once again invited performances by famous choreographers and ensembles for the Miskolc audience and visitors. Each performance shows an interesting slice of international and domestic dance life and trends.
The theater’s photographer, Dear Vera was formed by his exhibition. It is special that for the exhibition this time another photographer from the theater, Mihály Samu Gálos also added his own. In the Silent Bodies exhibition, which opened on Tuesday afternoon in the upstairs lounge of the Grand Theater, you can see the dancers of the Miskolc Ballet, who have been trying to convey their words and thoughts silently, using only their bodies, for more than ten years.
Opening the exhibition Máté Szabo he put it this way: you can almost see what dialogues preceded the events reflected in the pictures. The director and artistic director of the theater pointed out that there is an existing idea in acting pedagogy that a character can be captured with just one archetypal gesture. He added: a Attila Kozma led by Miskolci Ballet is currently at its peak thanks to the diversity of the troupe.
For those gathered at the opening of the exhibition, which can be visited during the lectures Dear Vera he said: five of the pictures he exhibited were selected for the exhibition of the Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center in the capital.
