A XXIII. district elementary school because they smelled a pungent smell of gas on Wednesday morning – said Ádám Kiss, deputy spokesperson of the Metropolitan Disaster Management Directorate. Pál Győrfi, head of communications of the National Ambulance Service, informed:
ten ambulances were called to the scene, 30-35 children can be examined in the hospital.
Ádám Kiss said: shortly before three quarter to eight, the signal came that a XXIII. they smell a pungent smell in the district elementary school. 500 students left the school before the arrival of the capital’s firefighters, he added.
The disaster prevention mobile laboratory carried out measurements, according to the results of which the presence of dangerous substances could not be detected in the air.
According to MTI, 70 children at the Török Flóris Primary School in Dinnyhegyi közi complained of feeling unwell, and the ambulances that arrived at the scene took care of them.
Pál Győrfi told MTI by phone that ten ambulances were called to the scene, and according to primary information, none of the children were in a serious condition, and his colleagues did not find any “serious” injuries.
The children reported that they felt a pungent smell, and then they had scratchy throats and dizziness, he added, adding that 30-35 children could be taken, if necessary, to the Heim Pál National Pediatric Institute, where they could be examined further.
