THE Miskolci The District Court announced a verdict in the case of the woman who was prosecuted for the crime of robbery and other crimes. According to the facts established in the judgment, on June 13, 2022, during the day in the Avas district of Miskolc, the victim met the woman he knew by sight, whom he invited for a drink.
He mixed medicine into his drink
They took a seat on the terrace of a beer bar, the man got up several times to buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. On one occasion, the woman took out a medicine from her bag, put it in her mouth, took a sip of the man’s drink, waited for the pill to dissolve, then poured the liquid from her mouth back into the beer bottle and shook it. Upon his return, the man drank several times from the drink, then left holding hands with the woman.
After all this, the intoxicated man recovered in the toxicology department of the Miskolc hospital.
They couldn’t prove it
The court did not find it proved beyond a doubt that the woman had taken the man’s valuables – his phone, cash, documents, bank cards – and therefore, in the absence of proof, acquitted the woman of the crime of robbery and the misdemeanor of misusing a cash-substitute payment instrument.
The verdict is not final, the prosecutor has announced an appeal.
