The test operation will start on April 24 in the renovated Ladics house. Following the completion of the renovation of the building financed by EU funds at the end of December, the equipment of the exhibition is also nearing completion.
Not only the building was renovated. The Erkel Ferenc Museum restored artefacts, and with the help of experts from the local public collection, previously unseen objects were added to the interiors, digital development was carried out, and interactive devices were placed in three new rooms, which had been closed to visitors until now.
All this so that the specialists did not touch the most valuable parts of the heritage, the living spaces; they have kept their familiar atmosphere, while thanks to digital developments, they also provide plenty of information about them.
The test operation of Ladics-ház starts on April 24, 2024 and lasts until May 12. During this period, the building can only be viewed with a guided tour, except for April 29 and May 6, these occasions start every hour between 10:00 and 18:00, 20:00 and 20:40.
The test plant is used by the staff of the institution to filter out possible errors and test improvements before the official opening; for this reason, it is possible that some devices will not work, or only partially, during the period until May 12. This is also indicated to the visitors, whose patience is requested by the staff of the Ladics House.
