This weekend, the Association of Hungarian Educators in Slovakia will organize the 29th Congress of Hungarian Educators in Slovakia. National Meeting in Rozsnyo. The key actor of the changes: the two-day professional conference organized under the title of pedagogue is hosted by the historic town hall.
As can be read in the announcement sent to our editors: the national meeting is the longest-standing and most significant professional gathering of Hungarian teachers in the highlands, which will be held for the 29th time this year.
In the past quarter of a century, the professional conference in Rozsnyo has served as a compass for the development of Hungarian education in the highlands, and outlined the possibilities for further progress for Hungarian teachers in Slovakia with the participation of renowned domestic and Hungarian specialists.
On April 27 and 28, plenary lectures, podium discussions and professional workshops await the members of the teaching community.
Among others, the lectures of renowned experts will discuss professional autonomy, new paradigms and strategies for teachers’ learning and professional development, as well as changes in the mission and role of teachers, and the development of self-awareness.
The professional workshops focus on successful career start-up cooperation, the learning and professional development of teachers, as well as the leadership attitude and competence set open to change. The learning and professional development of kindergarten teachers and kindergarten managers will also be discussed. The title of Sunday’s podium discussion is Change and change.
The awards established by the Association of Hungarian Educators in Slovakia are traditionally presented at the event, including the Upland Hungarian Educator Award.
The professional conference is co-organized by the Rozsnyó Regional Election of the SZMPSZ, Rozsnyó City Municipality. Professional cooperating partners are the Comenius Pedagogical Institute; and the Regional Pedagogical Center.
