The Szekszárd District Prosecutor’s Office brought charges against a 39-year-old man for the crime of grievous bodily harm causing permanent disability.

According to the indictment…

On December 3, 2022, in downtown Szekszárd, in front of a store, the defendant and his acquaintance got into an argument with a third man, the later victim. The victim approached the man with the accused, who pushed him by the shoulder on one occasion, and the victim stepped back and raised his hand to indicate that he did not want to continue the conflict.
Then, stepping out from behind the other man, the defendant jumped towards the victim and kicked him, then with his left hand, then his right hand, and finally again with his left hand, hit the victim’s head, face and around the eyes with great force with his fist a total of three times.

“In addition to bruises, the victim suffered serious injuries from the blows, a bilateral fracture of the jaw bone, and a rupture of the iris in one eye, which caused a partial loss of vision, which is considered a permanent disability”

– says Dr. Yvette Kiss, the press spokesperson of the Tolna County Prosecutor General’s Office.

The district prosecutor’s office is calling for a prison sentence and a ban from public affairs against the defendant with a criminal record at the Szekszárd District Court.
