THE General Prosecutor’s Office of Győr according to his information, there is a motion to uphold the first-instance verdict in the case in which a man tried to kill his colleague with the help of a forklift. According to the facts, the South Korean man worked as a team leader and the Mongolian man as a cleaner at a site in Komárom. On May 9, 2020, during work, the accused signaled with his hand and called on the victim to climb into the blanket used for collecting garbage.

The victim protested, but the accused pushed him into the bag-like foil, pulled up its edges, clamped his mouth shut, so that it remained closed. After that, he gestured with his hand to one of his colleagues to use the forklift to crush the approximately one and a half meter high foil bag. The forklift driver did not know that there was a person inside, so he started compressing the film with the forks of the forklift. During this, the victim cried out, and the forklift operator immediately stopped the operation. The defendant freed the victim, and their colleagues notified the ambulance service. The victim’s injuries healed in six months, and due to the paralysis of his lower limbs, he developed a permanent disability.
The forklift nearly crushed him to death
As previously reported by Kemma.hu reported: the Tatabánya judge did not have an easy task, as both the victim and the accused returned to their own country almost a year after what happened. They were no longer able to listen to them, so only their primary testimonies could be taken into account during the trial. Thus, in theory, the accused does not even know that he is already accused of attempted murder at the request of the prosecution. Because at the beginning of the investigation, the charge against him was only occupational endangerment, which he admitted. After all, according to his account, he was careless when he did not notice that the Mongolian boy was still in the bag. His defense lawyer asked the court to treat the case according to the previous charges and to drop the charge of attempted murder.
