In the first half of the week, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, you can drop off old, used or broken household electronic waste in Kengyel from 8 am to 3 pm. The courtyard of the mayor’s office was quickly filled with old television sets, washing machines with agitator discs, microwave ovens, vacuum cleaners, and countless other once-used devices, such as Junoszty TVs, but also a Soviet-made radio.

Renáta Vidra and her partner, Attila Nyeső, were very happy with the opportunity.

– We are very happy about this opportunity, for example, this small TV has been in our house for 10 years, we inherited it from the previous owner, so far we have not been able to do anything with it. But we brought a vacuum cleaner, a DVD player, and also this large, 165 cm diameter TV, we only bought it a year ago, but it fell, was damaged, and was unprotected. Since these cannot be transported with municipal waste or handed in during garbage collection, and we will not illegally put them on the bank of the ditch, this is now a very good opportunity, said Attila Nyeső and his partner, Renáta Vidra, while packing.

On Monday, electronic waste could be dropped off at another location, in Bagimajor, at the mázsaház. The equipment is delivered to Elektronikai Hulladékutilizó Kft. in Karcag.
