Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó is currently conducting negotiations in China. On his social media page, he reported that he had already worked with Zhong San, the chairman of the Finance and Economic Committee of the National People’s Congress, when he was China’s Minister of Commerce.

Szijjártó recalled that it became during Zhong San’s ministerial term
China is Hungary’s second most important source of imports.
“During his term of office, the first large Chinese investments arrived in Hungary and we worked together with him to increase the Chinese-Hungarian trade turnover to over 10 billion dollars” he listed.

A short time later, a video was also posted on his page, in which the Chinese politician talks about how, although he does not meet Péter Szijjátó often, he follows the news on TV and used to see him there.
The head of Hungarian diplomacy only responded to this by saying “oops, well!”
Zhong San remarked that “mainly (he sees) events related to some kind of European negotiation and China.”
Then Péter Szijjártó said that “there we represent a rather unique position in Europe”.
Zhong San then continued by saying that he believed
Hungary is on the side of truth”.
The minister here brought the saying that “the Hungarians are not right, but they will be right”. The former Chinese trade minister only added that the Chinese are like that.
