The report states that there are no political murders or political prisoners in Hungary, but it has not even happened that a person in the path of a political actor has disappeared. Likewise, there is no information that anyone was tortured for political reasons, the newspaper reports.

On the other hand, according to the report, it happened several times that the people of the authority treated the detainees inhumanely. A 2017 case in which a police officer broke the shoulder of a mentally disabled woman while handcuffing her was highlighted.

The summary points out that the overall human rights situation in Hungary has deteriorated. The Homophobic Child Protection Act restricts access to LGBTQ written materials, and there is also talk of the removal of a museum director not named in the report. By this they are obviously referring to László L. Simon.

They mention that the government, with the help of the secret services and the media it controls, attacked NGOs and media that receive foreign subsidies. According to him, this is embedded in the law on the protection of sovereignty.

In Hungary, they have not experienced physical violence against journalists, but they are regularly attacked by the government and its media, in which they are called agents or the representatives of the independent press are accused of spreading fake news. They also mention serialization and dollar mediating, i.e. spreading the word about certain press products. George Soros or are under the influence of another foreign actor, and the discrediting campaign against the American-Hungarian businessman also sounds anti-Semitic, according to the report.

They write a Antal Rogan referred to the National Information Center (NIK), a “super-secret service” under his ministry, as having “produced a series of reports” alleging that foreign actors interfered in the elections.

They also write about governance by decree, with which the government bypasses the regular legislative processes.

What is surprising is that Tiborcz is mentioned in the report under the name István. With István Tiborcz In this regard, the report recalls an investigative article from July 2023, according to which billions went from one of the richest Hungarians to the prime minister’s son-in-law.
