Successful waste collection action

The Municipality of Kiskunfélegyháza and the Móra Ferenc Cultural Center organized a community waste collection campaign again this year, on Monday afternoon, April 22. This time, the volunteers were expected at two locations: Kőrösi út and Városi Parkerdő.

Stupid Mariann, the deputy director of the Móra Ferenc Cultural Center and the coordinator of the event, considered the campaign a success. He added that the new location, Kőrösi út, is not yet well known, which was also evident from the number of helpers. They will try to popularize this in the coming years, and of course they will also take into account requests to possibly have something similar happen at several times, preferably towards the weekend, so that even those who would otherwise miss it due to work on weekdays can participate in the community work.

A large number of helpers arrived again in the park forest, who cleaned the area next to the bike path and collected the discarded waste along the walking paths inside the forest. Mariann Bodor said that, unfortunately, they still find objects that are the result of illegal waste disposal: televisions, toilet bowls, car tires and the like, which are obviously not the waste of a trip to the mentioned sites.

They thank the volunteers for their self-sacrificing work and count on every helping hand in the future as well.

The municipality took care of the removal of the collected waste.
