The cleaning of the Szekszárd hospital was also added to B+N, which won a series of public procurements in January. The cleaners were happy because they were promised more money than before, but they were soon disappointed. In addition to RTL Ház, according to its report, five cleaners were also fired at the end of February, without reason. Two of them said that they think they may have been fired because they raised their voices, for example, because they were not paid properly for overtime. They received a “disinfection allowance” – which, as it turned out, meant that they were charged a flat hourly rate for overtime, not an overtime allowance. This resulted in a salary of about HUF 20-30 thousand less than they had expected.

One of the employees went to the NAV together with his position, let him see if his salary was calculated correctly. However, the NAV administrator could not place the “disinfection allowance”. Overtime was not on the payroll. Following their report, NAV initiated a procedure, and since then labor inspectors have visited the Szekszárd hospital.

B+N Zrt. wrote outside the House: “they act in accordance with the legal requirements” in all hospitals. If the colleagues work overtime and “the team leader records this on the attendance sheet, it will still be accounted for”. However, according to the workers, they did not keep attendance sheets, so they cannot prove when they worked.

Although both had worked as cleaners at the hospital for many years, they became probationary because B+N took over hospital cleaning in January. And since they were on probation, the company didn’t even have to give a reason for the termination. From March, B+N outsourced the cleaning of the hospital to a subcontractor.

The video reveals, among other things, that:

  • how much public procurement was won by B+N Zrt., and Ákos Hadházy why did you name the company cleaning to Lőrince Mészáros,
  • what was the company’s response to the cleaners’ accusations and
  • what was written to the staff by a former regional manager who owned several hospitals and who no longer works at the Szekszárd hospital.
