This is important if only because it is in the interest of the locals as well as the tourists that the area does not look like this, which is also a stone’s throw away from the pyramids that preserve the memories of the ancestors.

The pyramids are tiny specks of dust compared to these incredible Egyptian wonders, mystical sites that leave behind the tombs of the pharaohs.

the capital of Egypt, Cairo it is a colourful, bustling city rich in attractions, but it is also extremely overcrowded. Nearly one-tenth of the population of the country of more than one million square kilometers is crowded here, and we did not even take the agglomeration into account.

In the near future, it will therefore be necessary to relieve the huge metropolis, so the Egyptian leadership has started building a new capital. However, this will not suddenly solve the problems of Cairo, where pyramid-sized mountains of garbage are slowly growing along the streets.

The local people’s efforts are in vain, and tens of thousands of Cairo live in vain your trash recycling, it all looks like a windmill battle, as exemplified in the video below. The city’s poor neighborhoods are literally covered with waste, which at best is collected in bags, and at worst is thrown away, on the roofs of houses, in doorways, anywhere.

Manshiyat Naser’s district is quite specifically nicknamed the “Trash City”. The conditions prevailing in the streets, which are home to more than a quarter of a million people, mostly mean good business for the surrounding recycling plants, which are often owned by foreign companies.

Now, in a surprisingly raw and long recording, we can see how Cairo is slowly drowning in its own garbage. And the question has perhaps never been so pressing: how can this problem be solved?
