A passenger car caught fire on Friday on the side of the M7 highway heading towards Budapest, near Balatonszemes. Balatonboglár municipal firefighters extinguished the flames with a water jet, then searched the entire vehicle in search of additional hot spots.
On Saturday, a 12-meter tall tree overturned in the strong wind on Vak Bottyán Street in Balatonszabadi. Professional firefighters from Siófok cut the dangerous plant from a ladder with a chainsaw. On the outskirts of Fonyód, a ten-meter tree fell on the road, and here the local volunteer firefighters of Balatonboglár intervened.
A car pulling a trailer drove into a ditch and damaged a telecommunications pole on Saturday on the road between Boronka and Csömend. The driver, who was traveling alone in the vehicle, was injured, and the technical rescue was carried out by professional firefighters from Marcal at the scene of the accident.
