According to Péter Magyar, more children will not come from the CSOK: “I talked to one or two ladies, including my ex-wife, and what is decisive is the birth experience.”

In Komló, the politician from the Tisza party spoke about why, in his opinion, not enough children are born. According to him, pot-bellied, graying government members decided how women should give birth.

At the end of his speech in Komló during his country tour, Péter Magyar talked about what it would take to have more children. He talked about educational institutions, the safety of childbirth, the harmfulness of ending the free choice of doctor and the social insensitivity of the government. He said these:

“It is in the country’s interest that they become educated people, that they have a normal childhood, that they grow up in love. Even those who are orphans (…) should not grow up in large institutions, but in foster families, good foster families. What’s happening?

The government is nationalizing infertility centers while it wants more children. There will be waiting lists.

However, those who want to adopt have to go through a very long process, which is often unsuccessful. So they prefer to leave the children at home. In homes similar to Bicskei. I will ask at their home. I ask, is this the Christian government? Is this the family-friendly government? (…) The government believes that if it gives CSOK and various loans, then the ladies will have more children. I have to piss them off.

That someone can give birth in an environment where they feel safe. Where, if possible, she is with her husband. (…) She is not bound, she is not told off, she is not scolded, but she can give birth undisturbed. Then maybe you will have a second child, maybe a third.“

He also said that, on top of all these problems, the government took away the possibility of freely choosing a doctor, which should be fundamental. Because this is not hand-wringing, but the most intimate situation. According to Magyar, the three children start with the first.

“If one child or two children are not supported, there will be no third child. If we do not achieve that women can go back to work, can go back flexibly, can return to the same career path, then they will not have children.

If we don’t make having children sexy, then they won’t have children, we can give them any amount of money.“

Magyar also said that there is not a single woman in the Hungarian government, in his opinion there are more women in the government in Saudi Arabia than in the Christian Hungarian government.
