If we register for the municipal election, we can vote for the candidates of our place of residence

--

In the municipal election on June 9th, those who vote by re-registration can vote for the candidates of their place of residence, not their place of residence, and this means that, unlike the parliamentary election, there will be no wandering votes.

In the election of local government representatives and mayors, we can only apply for our place of residence, and only if we established the place of residence 30 days before the election – in the case of the June 9 vote, by February 11. Another condition for voting by re-registration is that the place of residence must not be canceled until the day of the vote, and its validity should last at least until the day of the election.

The transfer request must be requested by May 31.

However, in the election of the members of the European Parliament, you can transfer to another Hungarian settlement without restrictions, in this case you can cast your vote in the EP election in the polling station designated for voters with transfer, but in this case you will not receive the ballot paper related to the local government election. However, those who have registered for the EP election to another settlement can vote in the local government election in the voting district of their place of residence.
