The Prosecutor’s Office of the Pest County has filed charges against a woman from Szigethalmi who stabbed her sleeping husband, according to a statement from the prosecutor’s office. It was only thanks to luck that the man survived the attack and was able to ask for help from a neighbor.

According to the indictment, the woman and the man had been married for more than a decade, but their relationship had deteriorated in the last five years, and divorce was discussed several times between them. Their quarrels were daily, which, according to the prosecutor’s office, was contributed to by the fact that both consumed alcohol on a daily basis.

On June 1 last year, in the afternoon hours at their home in Szigethalm, they had another fight over the fact that the man did not give his wife more drinks, and even hid the drinks away from her in the house. In the heat of the argument, the woman threatened to kill the man and slapped him.
