Benedek Zsolt Zolnyánszki, one of the organizers of the event, announced in a statement sent to our portal that gypsy pastoral care is the purposeful spiritual care of Roma communities within the Roman Catholic Church, and at the same time it is an important segment of social programs aimed at catching up with gypsies. The pastoral community of Balassagyarmat, which was formed not long ago, wants to join this, which consists of dedicated professionals who want to do something and religious people who are close to the Church.

– One of the important ways to bridge the gap between Gypsies and non-Gypsies is to get to know Gypsies better, so that society can form an authentic image of them, all together with them, in one community. There are many ways and ways to do this, such as presenting cultural values, discovering common treasures, and, in this case, introducing and getting to know the beauty and depth of Gypsy poetry and prose, they wrote in the announcement. – Nearly 60 Gypsy and non-Gypsy children and primary school students applied for our competition, which was announced in the institutions of the Ceferinó community operating in Balassagyarmati and its region, as well as in the institutions of the Váci Diocese, who, of course, will not only compete, but also give a glimpse of the peoples of the Carpathian Basin, such as Gypsy also to its inexhaustible values.
