In the following days, biological larval fertilization will be carried out from an airplane in the upper reaches of the Tisza in the county of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, at Lake Tisza and in the area of ​​Szolnok. In the vicinity of Sopron, in the area of ​​Szigetköz, Csepel Island, and around Baja and Mohács, the protein-containing preparation that destroys the larvae of biting mosquitoes is delivered into the water from a vehicle, sometimes from a boat, or on foot – the announcement states.

This is all the more necessary because in recent weeks, wetlands suitable for biting mosquitoes have developed in many parts of the country, they added.

As it was written: as a result of the early spring, mosquito larvae appear in increasing numbers along the rivers, but in some places you can also meet full-grown individuals. The preparations used against mosquito larvae do not affect other organisms. The current cooler weather slows down larval development and favors getting the job done.

At the same time, they continued, due to the rainy weather, bloodsuckers are not only able to develop along rivers and lakes, many of their species lead a particularly close-to-human lifestyle, breeding in water-filled objects around houses.

Since organized mosquito control cannot be carried out on private plots, it is important to continuously empty containers and barrels filled with water, which serve as a breeding ground for mosquitoes, around the house – the announcement states.
