Ornithologist Zoltán Orbán, spokesperson of the Hungarian Ornithological and Conservation Association (MME), told Index that since they are smart animals, they immediately saw the bright opportunity in cities crumbling from food scraps, which is another huge attraction for them, including the new generations hatching from the eggs every year. young people too.
Since they have no natural enemies in inhabited areas, they are urban top predators, even though people are busy around them, they do not hunt them between the houses, so they can live and multiply without any worries.
Since the dolmány crow chicks that grow up in the settlement environment are very likely to stay here in the city, it is to be expected that this method will be used more and more often. But it is important to emphasize that this natural chick-fearing behavior is just an empty, loud scare that can be treated by simply shooing it away.
