They found seven young people who had escaped from a children’s home.

The police and co-authorities flooded the city center again: a complex criminal-police control was held on Saturday night Budapest V., VI. and VII. in the district – they write on the police website.

The police made 629 checks, arrested and produced 29 people, including three on warrants, one for disorderly conduct, four for theft, two for drug possession, one drunk and one intoxicated driver were removed from traffic, and seven young people who had escaped from a children’s home were found.

The authorities inspected two downtown entertainment venues, found no serious deficiencies there, and took action for traffic violations – not only for drivers, but also for pedestrians. Breathalyzers were used on 197 drivers, intoxication was found in one case, while another driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Out of the 426 vehicles checked, 194 were taxis, in their case an invalid taxi driver’s license was found, two traffic licenses were taken away due to unauthorized conversion, and two vehicles were ordered for a technical examination out of line.
