After 2019, “The best ABBA since ABBA” will be shown again in Budapest.
The biggest ABBA hits will be played again in a perfect stage show on April 28, 2024 in the Budapest Arena.
ABBA did not tour for decades, so The Show – a Tribute to ABBA carried the torch and became the best ABBA memorial concert in the world according to the Official International ABBA Fan Club. It has enjoyed worldwide success for more than 20 years, which is characterized by nearly 800 concerts in 50 countries and more than 2 million tickets sold.
The Show was produced in Denmark and features Swedes: “One of the most important aspects of creating the perfect impersonation of ABBA was to sign Swedish singers because they have a distinctive accent that no one else can imitate. So we didn’t have to make any compromises when recreating the real ABBA sound,” said producer Kenneth Svoldgaard.
Special features of The Show:
– the two singers resemble Agnetha and Anne Frid until they speak. Even the most critical fans speak highly of them. They were the winners of a Swedish TV talent show where they had to perform as the ABBA girls. They are now putting their talent to good use in The Show.
– the audience can see saxophonist Ulf Andersson, who toured with ABBA and co-wrote the song I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, which he wrote together with Benny Andresson.
The two-hour concert accompanies the audience through ABBA’s life journey from the Eurovision Song Contest to the biggest international successes with the help of the biggest hits, such as Waterloo, SOS, Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen, Money, Money, Money, Knowing Me Knowing You.
