Sketch: Animation film days are held in Debrecen

--

The program is about Debrecen, the achievements in Debrecen, the artists in Debrecen, the talents who originate from here but are connected here

István Puskás, deputy mayor of Debrecen, pointed out in his welcome speech why this event is important for the city. He pointed out that the realization is thanks to an exemplary cooperation, in which, in addition to the organizer Apolló Cinema, Medgyessy Ferenc High School and Károly Károly Vocational High School, two higher education institutions, the Media and Design Institute of Eger and the Moholy-Nagy University of Arts (MOME) also got involved.

I believe that these multi-stakeholder partnerships can create particularly successful and long-term programs. It is our undisclosed ambition that Skicc becomes an integral part of Debrecen’s life in the future. I am confident that we are witnessing the birth of a festival that can grow year by year and become a relevant and marked event in the field of animation

he added.

Sketch is different from other film days

“Sketch” is special because viewers can not only see films, but also listen to professional presentations and reports on the work processes, as well as participate in numerous workshops, emphasized film theater manager Tamás Fejér. As he said, anyone who registers in advance on the Apolló Cinema interface, which will be available to the public from April 22, can participate in the free programs. “We are looking forward to two great days, which we definitely want to continue,” he predicted.

Krisztina Kovács, art teacher at the Károly Károly Vocational High School, talked about the great opportunity for their students to see their works on a big screen. – The film days are also a jubilee for us, the motion picture and animation design vocational training started 15 years ago in our institution, where students study a profession for 5 years in addition to preparing for the high school graduation. Animation is only one segment of the training, we also teach photography, filming, 3D modeling and 3D animation. The course is very popular from the first moment, there is a high over-subscription every year, he noted. He said that the students’ creations are between 1 and 5 minutes long, and the topics are decided by the students independently, which are usually some personal topic, applied art, such as advertising, or an adaptation of a contemporary Hungarian literary work.
