Based on the account of the man who published the post the suspected perpetrator was arrested on Sunday eveningwho was a man living in Mezőnyárád.
This was confirmed by the news published by the police on Monday, in which they wrote: the Mezőkövesd Police Department is conducting proceedings against a 49-year-old man from Mezőnyárád, who allegedly hanged his approximately five-year-old bull terrier dog from a tree on the outskirts of Mezőnyárád around 7:00 p.m. on April 21. The animal suffocated.
The man was interrogated that evening, and in his defense he said, among other things, that tried a more humane way to get rid of the unwanted dog left by a friend of his friend a year and a half ago, but was unsuccessful, so he chose the drastic solution.
