The investigators of the National Investigation Bureau of the Emergency Police (KR NNI) arrested three men from Budapest who posed as policemen and robbed money and drugs.
On Monday, the KR NNI announced on the police.hu website that the three men are suspected of arranging a business meeting with the victims in order to rob them of drugs.
The meeting took place on the evening of December 11, 2022, in Gödöllő, where the three captured men and their hitherto unknown companions pretended to be a police operation, used a distinctive light signal on their car, and covered their faces with hoods, shouting “Police!” they forced the victims to get out of their car with a summons, and then laid them on the ground and abused them.
They then handcuffed the victims, searched their clothes and their car, then looted HUF 600,000 and presumably drugs. After the operation, they left the handcuffed victims lying on the ground behind.
The investigators identified three members of the criminal group, who were caught by the operations units of the Anti-Terrorism Center on April 16 as part of a coordinated operation.
During the search carried out at several locations, the investigators seized, in addition to large sums of money and so-called “cloned” copies of bank cards, computer and electronic equipment, a rubber bullet gun, equipment and chemicals necessary for the production of amphetamines, as well as several marijuana plants, as well as equipment necessary for its cultivation and drug-suspicious substances.
The investigators interrogated and detained the 28-, 23-, and 22-year-old men, and the court ordered their arrest on April 18, the announcement states.
