Gyula Budai: Karácsony should respond to the renovation case

According to Fidesz’s Gyula Budai, Mayor Gergely Karácsony should respond to the matter related to the renovation of the Chain Bridge.

In a video uploaded to Facebook on Monday, the ruling party politician talked about: according to a letter sent to him, the “main character of the Chain Bridge renovation scandal”, Vig Mór, “went to settle accounts” with the security company Árgus Security located in the Mammut shopping center. and cash “reached the City Hall through intermediaries”.

Gyula Budai said: the report of the Government Audit Office (Kehi) established that A-híd Zrt. transferred more than one and a half billion forints to Mór Vig’s company, which he further transferred to his private account and lawyer’s escrow account, and 900 million forints in cash picked up.

He added: according to the Kehi report, HUF 500 million was also transferred to the escrow account of another lawyer, Dániel Hegedűs, which was also withdrawn in cash. According to Gyula Budai, this could have reached the City Hall through intermediaries.

The Fidesz politician drew attention to the fact that the owner of Árgus Security Kft. is Zoltán Apáthy, the son of the owner of A-híd Zrt., which is renovating the Chain Bridge.

He reminded: a week ago, he filed a criminal complaint for official bribery in the case, but since then, neither Árgus Security, nor A-híd Zrt., nor Gergely Karácsony have responded to the case,

“Mr. Mayor, you should say something now”! he said.
