Alexandra Szentkirályi is the leader of the list.

The capital list of Fidesz-KDNP, which is full of new names, has been uploaded to the website of the National Electoral Office.

The first fifteen of the list of ninety-six names are, in order, the following:

  1. Alexandra of Saint King
  2. Sarah Botond
  3. László Böröcz
  4. Franciska Janó-Veilandics
  5. Piroska Zsoltné Szalai Varga
  6. Daniel Szécsényi
  7. Zoltán Havasi
  8. Ádám Krisztián Sinkovics
  9. Béla Radics
  10. Péter Bojthe
  11. István György Bence
  12. Tamás Elekes
  13. Kamilla Réka Tóth
  14. Sándor Attila Szarvas
  15. Demeter of Szilágy

Apart from the mayor Szentkirályi, mayor Sára, who last lost to András Pikó in Józsefváros, but is now trying again, and Böröcz, who is running in the 1st district, there are no strong names among them. According to the Telex article, it is in fourth place Franciska Janó-Veilandics, The county president of the Youth Christian Democratic Union, for example, does not run in the local government elections in any district, as does the fifth-ranked member of the list Piroska Zsoltné Szalai Varga neither, who, according to the article, made headlines in 2017 by getting a renovated municipal apartment in Ferencváros at half price. He was previously the ministerial commissioner responsible for improving the position of women in the labor market, and later Mihály Varga advisor to the Minister of Finance.

Szabad Európa recently wrote that it can carry out a complete change of ranks in Fidesz in the capital Viktor Orban. Opinions are divided on the reason for this, some insiders say that “this is the extermination of Fidesz in the capital”, others said that “Fidesz in Budapest is being renewed under the leadership of Alexandra Szentkirályi”. However, everyone agreed that there were definitely two reasons for the change: on the one hand, Viktor Orbán presumably considered that the Fidesz mayors in the district were too independent, and on the other hand, the prime minister was satisfied with the party’s failure in Budapest.

As is well known, the election system in the capital city has changed significantly compared to 2019, because instead of district mayors, seats in the general assembly are now filled with representatives from the lists.
