A man from Mezőnarád got rid of his large dog using a brutal method, the police are already investigating the matter.
On Sunday evening, a video of local animal rights activists, in which a hanged dog can be seen in the middle of the forest, went viral on the Internet, reports the Facebook page of Mezőkövesd Šikmpelben.
As we learned, the police also started an investigation into the terrible case, they say that a five-year-old bull terrier dog was hanged from a tree on April 21 before 7 p.m., and the animal suffocated.
The authorities initiated proceedings against a 49-year-old man from Mezőyárád for animal cruelty. The man explained his actions by saying that the dog was left with him a year and a half ago. He had already tried to get rid of it in a more humane way, but it didn’t work, so he chose a drastic solution.
Hardly a month goes by in Borsod county without hearing about some shockingly inhumane case, which is committed at the expense of animals. At the end of February, we reported on a horror farm, and a few weeks ago, we reported on an irresponsible dog owner who left his four-legged companion to die of hunger and thirst.
