The enthusiastic artist talked about the fact that he never learned to draw more seriously, but a few years ago he became addicted to graphite pencils Andrea Pozsogárand has been researching the potential of graphics ever since.
– Like many people, I also started doing something that I had never done before during the epidemic period. I searched the internet and started copying the graphics that I really liked. The duality of black and white and shades of gray is fascinating to me. My family also rewarded my enthusiasm, they gave me a book for Christmas, from which I learned a lot about drawing, he told us Andrea Pozsogár. – I could also compare learning to draw to when someone starts training. You hear a lot of things here and there, but we really have to gather the information and advice ourselves in order to succeed, he continued.

The artist from Kaposvár, who works brilliantly with a graphite pencil, does not know the impossible. Sometimes he creates photo-like solutions, or even subtle tones on a bug’s wing or a bird’s feather.
“I’m still in the learning phase, that’s why I copy primarily,” he explained. – I am open to any subject that pleases me, it can be a portrait, a landscape, or any natural formation. There is only one directing principle: it should be interesting to me for some reason. The eyes of animals, especially those of reptiles, always fascinate me, and I return to this topic several times. However, I also have drawings that I have started, but are still waiting to be finished, because the subject was not close enough to me. We learned that Andrea uses at least fourteen types of pencils to create her drawings, selected based on their softness. – It is necessary to find the right tool for the given subject in order to achieve the best effect.

He drew for six hours

A picture requires patience and perseverance, sometimes it takes a week, but for example I drew one of my pictures for six hours straight. When I start a picture, the pencil dances in my hand and the picture forms itself. It turns off, the activity recharges after the day’s work and it feels good that others like it, added the artist, whose graphics can be viewed until May 10 in the second-floor exhibition space of the Agora in Kaposvár.
