Nine teams took part in the XX. held in Mezőberény. Civil Guard Traffic Safety Competition. The civil guards from Mezóberény and Tarhos won as a team, and a civil guard from Szarvas gave the best performance individually.

On April 20, 2024, the Békés County Accident Prevention Committee organized the XX. County round of Civil Police Traffic Safety Competition in Mezőberény. The contestants were invited by Zoltán Jakusovszki. lieutenant colonel, the commander of the Mezőberényi Police Force, greeted him. After that, the civil guards measured their knowledge in theoretical and practical tasks, took a test and were able to prove their skills on the course. At the results announcement, József Pelleg r. lieutenant colonel, the head of the Traffic Police Department of the Békés County Police Headquarters, thanked the civil guards for their self-sacrificing work and congratulated them on their performance in the competition.

The most successful was the team of the civil guards from Mezóberény and Tarhos, whose members are Marianna Balog, Mihály Peres, Ferenc Gál and Balázs Márk Taba. The civil guards of Csabaszabad finished in second place.

The quartet consisted of Mátyás Kesjár, Zoltán Tomán, Mihály István Kesjár and Dániel Ádám Kesjár. The third best performance was provided by the group from Szarvas, in which Tamás Tusjak, János Pljesovszki, Balázs Pataki and Sándor Károly Juhász competed. In the individual category, János Pljesovszki from Szarvas became the first, László Roszik finished second over Róbert Doboz, and Dániel Ádám Kesjár, who was a member of the Csabaszabad team, received the award for third place.
