The unfavorable weather conditions of the past period have taken a toll on the gravel road network in Miskolc. Since the surface is soaked, it has not been possible to carry out the necessary repairs until now, but with the arrival of good weather, this will be done soon, the Mayor announced.
According to the information, in the past few weeks, preparations for the repair work were carried out based on the preliminary assessment of the Road Inspection Service of the Miskolc Városgazda Nonprofit Kft., and the reports received from the residents and local government representatives.
The City Manager will start the repair work – depending on the weather – on April 22, 2024 in Miskolc, in the area of Árok utca, Bábonyibérc, Dóczy, Feszty Árpád utca and Bodótetó, after which the necessary repair work will continue on gravel roads in other areas of the city , in a total of 107 streets, on 148,000 square meters.
In May last year, Borsod24 also reported that the gravel road repair was carried out in nearly 50 streets, on a surface of 60,000 square meters in the entire city. At that time, the works affected the Miskolc-Pereces district, and then the Diósgyőr, Bodótető, and Bábonyibérc areas.
