According to the Minister of Culture and Innovation, János Csák, thanks to the cooperation signed on Tuesday with the Hungarian Elite Athletes’ Interest Protection Forum, the ministry will now be able to help elite athletes learn and integrate into the community, so that their lives can remain in balance even after the end of their careers.
In his speech, the minister emphasized that sport is a philosophical field that is about balance. In order for someone to become a champion, it is essential to be in harmony physically, mentally and spiritually, it was not by chance that the term healthy mind in a healthy body was used at the time, he said.
János Csák added:
a government can really help if there are champions who will become role models,
and those who “interpret what they have achieved in their own personal life in an extended, generative way”.
This is why he considers the Hungarian Elite Athletes’ Interest Protection Forum a big deal, which interprets life not as a series of moments, but as a life journey, a life journey. According to the head of the ministry, it would be good if similar societies were established in other fields, such as music, which represent this approach.
The minister responsible for Hungarian and Croatian culture signed a Hungarian-Croatian cultural cooperation program
The document defining the cooperation between the two ministries was signed by the two ministers after a meeting held at the Museum of Fine Arts.
Áron Szilágyi, social president of the Hungarian Elite Sportsmen’s Forum for the Protection of Interests, said: when they were formed two years ago in a narrow circle but with big goals, they did not think that they would be able to conclude a strategic agreement with the Ministry of Culture and Innovation in 2023.
According to the three-time Olympic champion swordsman, he sees opportunities for cooperation in three main areas – talent management and family support, the career program, and innovation – and is confident that they will be able to fill it with content in the coming years.
Finally, Áron Szilágyi announced that Minister János Csák would be accepted as an honorary member of the Forum for the Protection of the Interests of Hungarian Elite Athletes,
and handed him the document about it. After the signing of the cooperation agreement, János Csák emphasized that the ministry supports the interest protection forum with the same amount that it can raise from private sources.
