This year’s 22nd Lakitelek Film Festival was organized under the theme of Hungarian values and Hungarian customs in the Carpathian Basin, to which the staff of TV21 Ungvár entered several works again this year. The awards were presented on November 17 in the Hungarikum Park. The main prize was awarded to Dezső Zsigmond from Budapest’s film A kolomopk nyelén – Gyékénykoporsó.
118 works from the Carpathian Basin were received for the screening of the film army by the deadline stated in the call. Based on the preliminary jury’s decision in October, 43 films entered the competition program, including 5 works by TV21 Ungvár employees. Kamilla Debreceni and Béla Balla’s film Ami ÉLTET… achieved outstanding results at the screening, finishing in 3rd place. Four Subcarpathian works (Mihály K. Debreceni and Tamás Vass Desecration of the Münkacsi turul, Mihály K. Debreceni and Tamás Bereczky Acacia tree in the rock, Géza Kovács, Tamás Vass and Tamás Bereczky Culture in the shadow of war, Attila Iváncsik and Kata Nyíri Rákóczi cult in Transcarpathia) received a special award.
Transcarpathian successes at this year’s Károly Kós Television Film Review
The Szemle was hosted by Hungarikum Liget in Lakitelek between November 15 and 17, 2023. The chairman of the approximately forty-member jury was Balázs Balázs Sándor Buglya, a film director and producer.
