The students of Szondis built a safe canopy walkway in the yard of their school, so that the elementary school students coming to the open day could see it up close.
The creative teacher József Gyurek said: the construction of scaffolding was an important professional task for his students, and its use is worth trying out for those eighth graders who, for example, choose the profession of bricklayer, carpenter-scaffolding, or painter. This can also be a kind of aptitude test for them. József Gyurek added: of course, their canopy walkway is only allowed to be used in work safety helmets, under supervision and only with a limited number of people at a time.
Unfortunately, the weather was not favorable for the students – although in the construction industry you have to take into account the rain – the young people were still able to see the creative construction.
During the day, future students coming to Szondi were able to gain an insight into what the institution can offer them. Through tasks and puzzles, they were able to get to know the professional professions.
Ágnes Tanka, the director of the school, told our portal: the scaffolding built as a canopy walk will be rebuilt and will play a useful role in the preparation and decoration of the holiday.
