The man wanted to hit one of the police officers who tried to stop him.

The man who fled from the police in his car drunk last February and did not stop despite repeated warnings received an eleven-year prison sentence, a ten-year ban from public affairs and a seven-year ban from driving.

While fleeing, he pulled the steering wheel at one of the policemen at high speed, trying to hit him. The policeman could only avoid this by jumping away from the car towards the barrier of the four-lane road.

In its verdict, the court also stated that the accused is a multiple, violent recidivist, so he cannot be released on parole. The prosecution took note of the verdict, but the defense attorney filed an appeal, primarily for acquittal and secondarily for mitigation.
