At the June 1 plenary session, the European Parliament (EP) may decide on the resolution, according to which, referring to Hungary’s rule of law situation, it would be questioned whether the Hungarian government is suitable to hold the position of president of the European Union.
Regarding the expected decision of the European Parliament, Gergely Gulyás Gulyás, who heads the Prime Minister’s Office, said that there is a draft decision before the European Parliament, but they do not have the authority to make such a decision. “The consequence is that the Azeri parliament would make a similar decision, but I don’t want to offend the Azeri parliament,” Gergely Gulyás said.
“The Hungarian people are attacked by the EP”
“This resolution proposal attacks Hungary and the Hungarian people without any basis or facts because they do not support war, migration, and gender madness,” Deputy Regional Development Minister Csaba Latorcai told Magyar Nemzet about the matter. According to Csaba Latorcai, the EP is going far beyond its powers, but he is confident that this will in no way affect the agreement on the EU resources due to our country.
According to the deputy minister, it is a purely left-wing conceptual procedure motivated on the basis of party politics.
“With this, the control committee wants to put pressure on the Hungarian people, on the one hand, that if they do not change their position regarding the rejection of gender, war and migration, they will not receive EU funds, and on the other hand, they want to put pressure on the European Commission that as long as Hungary does not support war, migration and gender madness, until then they should not disburse the money that benefits the country,” said Csaba Latorcai.
